I’ve been here for five years now, and that was the worst one I’ve seen.
Yesterday, the mayor said this is an issue that has been prevalent for 60-70 years now. He said the city has been trying to remove 1.2 millions pounds of sludge from a wastewater line that runs all the way across the city. Only 40% of that line has been cleared thus far.
On top of that, the viaducts flood just about every time we get even an inch of rain in a short period of time. They installed electrical pumps recently two of the viaducts to help with that problem, but the power went out, deeming the pumps useless. Just an all-around infrastructure failure that is baffling, at best. [Post edited by HokiesandHerd at 08/31/2021 3:59PM]
